The Trust has been in operation since April 2008 at the above address and the major activities are: Currently the Veda Padasala has 11 students (age between 10 - 15 years) learning Vedam, Kavya, Prayogam & Shastram in a gurukulam mode. In addition, there are 10 more students who learn Vedam and Śrauta tradition as day scholars The Trust also conducts weekly public lectures in different part of Chennai City and at few places in Tamil Nadu on spiritual and ethical issues and also clears spiritual doubts to common people. Every year the Trust also publishes Panchangam ( Almanac) and distributes them free of cost. The Padasala's Guru is Brahmasri V Rajagopala Ganapatigal, who is Salakshana Ganapatee, Editor of the Spiritual magazine, Vaithikasri, Publisher of many books on Dharma Sastram and a renowned Vedic scholar The Vedas were essentially preserved by an oral tradition for the first couple of millennia and Vedic Smrties were handed down from generation to generation by word of mouth. This tradition emphasized the preservation of the actual sound of the Vedas much above their meaning and interpretation. This oral tradition has been preserved through a Guru-Shishya tradition of preceptor and disciple through generations, lest errors in pronunciation creep in while reciting the written text. "Dharma protects one who protects it". Any one can take up the path laid out in the Vedas. He can also do Dharma towards the cause of Vedic Education.
